Researchers investigated the potential role and mechanism of metabolism dysregulation in chronic hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] carcinogenesis. It was found that Cr(VI)-transformed cells displayed glycolytic shift, which depends on the up-regulation of c-Myc.
