For over a decade, Immune Regulation News has been keeping the scientific community up-to-date with the latest research and reviews related to immune regulation. Key research areas covered include the roles of regulatory T cells (Treg cells) in autoimmunity and self-reactivity, as well as immune response to disease, transplantation and cancer. We also provide vital updates on the latest jobs and upcoming events in the field of immunology.
Researchers explored how pro-lymphangiogenic signaling affects the allergic response to house dust mite. In the acute inflammatory phase, the lungs of mice treated with blocking antibodies against VEGFR-3 displayed less inflammation overall, with dramatically reduced innate and T-cell numbers and reduced inflammatory chemokine levels.
The analysis of CX3CL1 clusters using native electrophoresis and single molecule fluorescence kinetics showed that CX3CL1 was a homo-oligomer of 3 to 7 monomers. Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching assays revealed that the CX3CL1-transmembrane domain peptide self-associated in both cellular and acellular lipid environments, while its random counterpart did not.
