Bone Marrow Niche Trafficking of miR-126 Controls the Self-Renewal of Leukemia Stem Cells in Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia

Researchers showed that although the microRNA miR-126 supported the quiescence, self-renewal and engraftment capacity of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) leukemia stem cells (LSCs), miR-126 levels were lower in CML LSCs than in long-term hematopoietic stem cells from healthy individuals. Researchers aimed to clarify the in vitro and in vivo anti-osteosarcoma effects of dioscin, the primary component derived from Discorea nipponica Makino, and its molecular mechanism of action.
