IL-7R Is Essential for Leukemia-Initiating Cell Activity and Pathogenesis of T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Scientists demonstrated that interleukin-7 receptor (IL-7R) expression was an early functional biomarker of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) cells with leukemia-initiating cell potential, and demonstrated that impaired IL-7R signaling hampered engraftment and progression of patient-derived T-ALL xenografts. Scientists examined the effects of the milk protein alpha-casein over expression in the triple negative MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell line.
