Efficacy and Safety of Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Treatment of Cesarean Section Skin Scars: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Ninety primiparous singleton pregnant women undergoing elective cesarean section were randomly allocated to receive placebo, low-dose, or high-dose transdermal hydrogel umbilical cord-MSCs on the surface of the skin incision.

Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Derived Exosome-Mediated Transfer of MicroRNA-133b Boosts Trophoblast Cell Proliferation, Migration and Invasion in Preeclampsia by Restricting SGK1

Placentas from preeclampsia patients and normal pregnant women were collected. The human umbilical cord-MSCs and their exosomes were obtained and identified.

Hepcidin Is a Relevant Iron Status Indicator in Infancy: Results from a Randomized Trial of Early vs. Delayed Cord Clamping

Term infants were randomized to delayed or early cord clamping. Iron status was assessed at four and 12 months. In all cases with iron depletion or iron deficiency and 97 randomly selected iron-replete infants, investigators analyzed hepcidin and explored its correlation to the intervention, iron status, and perinatal factors.

    Abstract

Effect of Conditioned Medium from Human Umbilical Cord-Derived Mesenchymal Stromal Cells on Rejuvenation of Nucleus Pulposus Derived Stem/Progenitor Cells from Degenerated Intervertebral Disc

Scientists analyzed the expression of MSC and nucleus pulposus cell specific surface markers, pluripotency related genes, multilineage potential and cell proliferative capacity of nucleus pulposus- derived stem/progenitor cells from degenerated disc upon incubation with the conditioned medium which was collected from the umbilical cord derived MSCs.
