    Akt1-Associated
Actomyosin Remodeling Is Required for Nuclear Lamina Dispersal and Nuclear Shrinkage in Epidermal Terminal Differentiation

The authors demonstrated there to be a dispersal of phosphorylated Lamin A/C to structures throughout the cytoplasm in differentiating keratinocytes.

Altered Ratio of Dendritic Cell Subsets in Skin-Draining Lymph Nodes Promotes Th2-Driven Contact Hypersensitivity

Researchers demonstrated that altered dendritic cell representation in the skin-draining lymph nodes during sensitization to allergens caused Th2-driven contact hypersensitivity.

    Abstract

UV-Exposure, Endogenous DNA Damage, and DNA Replication Errors Shape the Spectra of Genome Changes in Human Skin

Investigators sequenced genomes of single cell-derived clonal lineages obtained from primary skin cells of a large cohort of healthy individuals across a wide range of ages.

Interfollicular Epidermal Stem-Like Cells for the Recreation of the Hair Follicle Epithelial Compartment

Scientists investigated whether human interfollicular epidermal keratinocytes with stem-like features, characterized by an α6bri/CD71dim expression, could replace human hair follicular keratinocytes for the recreation of the hair follicle epithelium and respective epithelial-mesenchymal interactions.

Omega-7 Oil Increases Telomerase Activity and Accelerates Healing of Grafted Burn and Donor Site Wounds

The authors investigated the efficacy of Omega-7 isolated from the sea buckthorn oil in ovine burn wound healing models. In vitro, proliferation and migration assays using cultured primary ovine keratinocytes were performed with or without 0.025% and 0.08% Omega-7, respectively.

Dermal Fibroblasts Cultured from Donors with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Retain an Epigenetic Memory Associated with Poor Wound Healing Responses

Dermal fibroblasts (DF) are critical for effective wound healing, so scientists sought to establish whether there were any differences in DF cultured from Type 2 diabetes mellitus donors or those without diabetes.

FBXO32 Links Ubiquitination to Epigenetic Reprogramming of Melanoma Cells

Investigators showed that MITF, the master transcription factor in melanocytes, controlled ubiquitination in melanoma cells. They identified FBXO32, a component of the SCF E3 ligase complex as a new MITF target gene.

Gene Coexpression Network and Experimental Analyses Identify lncRNA SPRR2C as a Regulator of the IL-22-Stimulated HaCaT Cell Phenotype through the miR-330/STAT1/S100A7 Axis

Scientists identified lncRNA SPRR2C (small proline-rich protein 2C) as a hub gene with a critical effect on the pathogenesis of psoriasis and response to treatment using both weighted gene coexpression network analysis and differential expression analysis. SPRR2C expression was significantly upregulated in both psoriatic lesion samples and HaCaT cell lines in response to IL-22 treatment.

    ARNT
Deficiency Represses Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Kinase 1 to Trigger ROS Production and Melanoma Metastasis

Researchers showed that the increase in glucose uptake and mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation confers metastatic ability as a result of aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator (ARNT) deficiency.
