DLC1 Deficiency and YAP Signaling Drive Endothelial Cell Contact Inhibition of Growth and Tumorigenesis

Scientists report that deleted in liver cancer 1 (DLC1) was a regulator of YAP, a transcriptional coactivator of proliferation-promoting and tumor-promoting genes; when confluent, active/nuclear YAP was significantly more abundant in DLC1-deficient endothelial cells compared with control cells. MROH7-TTC44 Read-Through lncRNA Suppresses Vascular Endothelial Cell Apoptosis and Is Upregulated by Inhibition of ANXA7 GTPase Activity

Investigators showed that inhibiting annexin A7 (ANXA7) GTPase activity promoted the interaction of ANXA7 and 5’→3′ exoribonuclease (XRN2) in the nucleus, which regulated the read‐through transcription of MROH7-TTC4, and TIA1 was responsible for the process of MROH7-TTC4 that inhibited apoptosis through MROH7 and TTC4. Intrabody against Prolyl Hydroxylase 2 Promotes Angiogenesis by Stabilizing Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-1α

miR-21 Induces Endothelial Progenitor Cells Proliferation and Angiogenesis via Targeting FASLG and Is a Potential Prognostic Marker in Deep Venous Thrombosis

Uric Acid Regulates NLRP3/IL-1β Signaling Pathway and Further Induces Vascular Endothelial Cells Injury in Early CKD through ROS Activation and K⁺ Efflux

Hundreds of Extreme Self-Citing Scientists Revealed in New Database

A data set, which lists around 100,000 researchers, shows that at least 250 scientists have amassed more than 50% of their citations from themselves or their co-authors, while the median self-citation rate is 12.7%.
