Importantly, GLS1 inhibition reduced lipid content in choline and/or methionine deprivation-induced steatotic mouse primary hepatocytes, in human hepatocyte cell lines, and in NASH mouse livers. In VPS35-knockout hepatoma cells, a significantly reduced distribution of membrane fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 demonstrated the effects of VPS35 on sorting and trafficking of transmembrane receptor. They examined the effect of CHD4 knockdown on HCC cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration, invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, colony-forming ability, and on complement gene expression. [FASEB J] Full Article CCN1 Promotes Hepatic Steatosis and Inflammation in Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis CCN1 up-regulation was found to be closely related with steatosis in patients with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), obese mice and an FFA-treated hepatocyte model. Controlling the expression of CCN1 in murine NASH models demonstrated that CCN1 increased the severity of steatosis and inflammation.
