Extracellular Matrix Proteins Regulate NK Cell Function in Peripheral Tissues

Extracellular matrix proteins, collagen I, collagen III, and elastin, blocked NK cell cytotoxicity and promoted their chemokine/cytokine production. NK cell cytotoxicity against major histocompatibility complex class I–deficient melanoma in the skin was markedly increased by blocking tumor collagen deposition.

Cabozantinib Enhances Anti-PD1 Activity and Elicits a Neutrophil-Based Immune Response in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Tumor and blood samples were analyzed by flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, transcriptome and cytokine profiling. Cabozantinib-related effects were validated in a colorectal cancer PDX model.

    Abstract

AhR Promotes Phosphorylation of ARNT Isoform 1 in Human T Cell Malignancies as a Switch for Optimal AhR Activity

Investigators demonstrated that proportional flux in the levels of aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) nuclear translocator isoforms 1 and 3 modulated ARNT signaling in terms of amplitude and expression of distinct gene programs.

sEH-Derived Metabolites of Linoleic Acid Drive Pathologic Inflammation While Impairing Key Innate Immune Cell Function in Burn Injury

12,13-dihydroxyoctadecenoic acid was found to facilitate the maturation and activation of stimulated neutrophils, while impeding monocyte and macrophage functionality and cytokine generation.

Nodal Cytotoxic Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma Occurs Frequently in the Clinical Setting of Immunodysregulation and Is Associated with Recurrent Epigenetic Alterations

Ten patients had a history of B cell malignancies, one each of myeloid neoplasm, breast or prostate cancer, and four others had underlying immune disorders. Most patients died, mostly of disease, with a median overall survival of 12.7 months.

    Abstract

Immuno-Colocalization of IRF5 with TRAF6 and AKT2 in Human Apical Periodontitis

Researchers explored the expression and colocalization of interferon regulatory factor 5 (IRF5) with tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6) and AKT2 in human apical periodontitis.

    Abstract

Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cell Gene Expression and Cytokine Profiling in Patients with Intermittent Claudication Who Exhibit Exercise Induced Acute Renal Injury

Scientists conducted a single center observational cohort study of patients diagnosed with intermittent claudication. Blood and urine samples were collected at rest and following a standardized treadmill exercise protocol.
