PHD3 Stabilizes the Tight Junction Protein Occludin and Protects Intestinal Epithelial Barrier Function

Scientists found that sulfotransferase 2B1b (SULT2B1b) expression was frequently upregulated in colorectal carcinoma (CRC) clinical samples and CRC-derived cell lines and was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and TNM stage in both the training and validation cohorts. CD103⁺CD11b⁺ Dendritic Cells Induce T_h17 T Cells in Muc2-Deficient Mice with Extensively Spread Colitis

BMP-2 Induces Motility and Invasiveness by Promoting Colon Cancer Stemness through STAT3 Activation
The authors investigated the role of bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP)-2 in colon cancer stem cell (CSC) development from colon cancer cells. NECTIN-4 Increased the 5-FU Resistance in Colon Cancer Cells by Inducing the PI3K-AKT Cascade
Increased NECTIN-4 expression was observed in 5-Fluorouracil resistant (5-FU-R) and 5-FU-exposed HCT-116 cells. A significant increase in the cell proliferation, migration, colony formation, and resistant to 5-FU were noted in 5-FU-R cells, but reverse was observed after silencing of NECTIN-4.
