SET1A-Mediated Mono-Methylation at K342 Regulates YAP Activation by Blocking Its Nuclear Export and Promotes Tumorigenesis

Scientists demonstrated that YAP is a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein and its nuclear export is controlled by SET1A-mediated mono-methylation of YAP at K342, which disrupts the binding of YAP to CRM1. xMD-miRNA-seq to Generate Near In Vivo miRNA Expression Estimates in Colon Epithelial Cells

Investigators isolated colon epithelial cells from two specimens and performed low-input small RNA-seq. They generated up to 600,000 miRNA reads from the samples. Butyrate Produced by Gut Commensal Bacteria Activates TGF-beta1 Expression through the Transcription Factor SP1 in Human Intestinal Epithelial Cells

Researchers investigated which gut commensal bacteria were able to regulate the TGFB1 human promoter in intestinal epithelial cells using supernatants from cultured bacteria. The authors performed label‐free quantitative proteomics to determine whether skewing murine enteroid cultures towards the goblet or paneth cell lineages results in changes in abundance of proteins associated with these cell lineages in vivo. [Proteomics] Abstract

TNF-α Induces Autophagy through ERK1/2 Pathway to Regulate Apoptosis in Neonatal Necrotizing Enterocolitis Model Cells IEC-6

Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) rats showed decreased proliferating cell nuclear antigen expression, increased TUNEL-positive cells, higher expression of TNF-α, p-ERK1/2, and autophagy-related proteins in rat small intestine compared with their controls. Modeling Cryptosporidium Infection in Human Small Intestinal and Lung Organoids
