RNA sequencing data demonstrated a significant increase in the predominant pyruvate uptake transporter, monocarboxylate transporter 1. To model physiologically relevant changes in vitamin D, cells were cultured in constant 25-hydroxyvitamin D, then changed to high or deficient concentrations.
