Regulation of Epithelial Sodium Channel Expression by Oestradiol and Progestogen in Alveolar Epithelial Cells
In vitro, oestrogen (E) or progestogen (P) alone inhibited 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 2 activity in a dose-dependent manner and increased α-epithelial Na⁺ channel (ENaC) expression by at least 50%, and E combined with P increased α-ENaC expression by more than 80%. Inhibition of IGF1R Signaling Abrogates Resistance to Afatinib (BIBW2992) in EGFR T790M Mutant Lung Cancer Cells
Investigators found that activation of the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) signaling pathway contributes to afatinib resistance in non-small cell lung cancer cells harboring the T790M mutation.
