Cullin5 Deficiency Promotes Small-Cell Lung Cancer Metastasis by Stabilizing Integrin β1

The deficiency of Cullin5 or cytokine signaling 3 disrupted the functional formation of the E3 ligase complex and prevented the degradation of integrin β1, which stabilized integrin β1 and activated downstream focal adhesion kinase/SRC signaling and eventually drove small-cell lung cancer metastasis. ABL Kinase Inhibition Promotes Lung Regeneration through Expansion of an SCGB1A1⁺ SPC⁺ Cell Population Following bacterial Pneumonia

Researchers report that loss of Abl1 specifically in SCGB1A1-expressing cells led to a significant increase in the proliferation and differentiation of bronchiolar epithelial cells, resulting in dramatic expansion of an SCGB1A1⁺ airway cell population that coexpressed SPC, a marker for type II alveolar cells that promoted alveolar regeneration following bacterial pneumonia. Nimbolide Protects against Endotoxin-Induced Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome by Inhibiting TNF-α Mediated NF-κB and HDAC-3 Nuclear Translocation

Investigators showed that nimbolide markedly suppressed the nitrosative-oxidative stress, inflammatory cytokines, and chemokines expression by suppressing iNOS, myeloperoxidase, and nitrotyrosine expression. Long Non-Coding RNA linc00665 Promotes Lung Adenocarcinoma Progression and Functions as ceRNA to Regulate AKR1B10-ERK Signaling by Sponging miR-98

Scientists report the identification of a novel long non-coding RNAs, linc00665, which was markedly upregulated in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) tissues and might serve as an independent predictor for poor prognosis. WT1-Interacting Protein Inhibits Cell Proliferation and Tumorigenicity in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer via the AKT/FOXO1 Axis

Researchers report that WT1-interacting protein (WTIP) is a tumor suppressor in human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). They found that WTIP expression was significantly reduced in both NSCLC cell lines and clinical specimens compared to that in normal controls; this reduction was largely attributed to promoter hypermethylation. Crabp2 Promotes Metastasis of Lung Cancer Cells via HuR and Integrin β1/FAK/ERK Signaling

Knockdown of Crabp2 decreased migration, invasion, anoikis resistance, and in vivo metastasis. Crabp2 was co-immunoprecipitated with HuR, and overexpression of Crabp2 increased HuR levels, which promoted integrin β1/FAK/ERK signaling. [Sci Rep] Full Article

Recombinant Cell-Permeable HOXA9 Protein Inhibits NSCLC Cell Migration and Invasion
