Quiescence Regulation by Normal Hematopoietic Stem Cells and Leukemia Stem Cells

Quiescence provides essential protection for both hematopoietic stem cells and leukemia stem cells (LSCs) from cytotoxic stress and DNA damage and, in the case of LSCs, likely causes therapy resistance and disease relapse in leukemia patients.
