Investigators demonstrated that changes in chondroitin sulfate , a major glycosaminoglycan component of the tumor cell glycocalyx and extracellular matrix, was androgen receptor-regulated and promoted the adaptive progression of CRPC after androgen receptor pathway inhibition.
