Researchers applied a combination of transcriptomic and imaging approaches for an in-depth analysis of immune checkpoint blockade (ICB)-naive and ICB-treated DNA mismatch repair-deficient (MMR-d) colon cancers, as well as in vitro functional assays, and found evidence indicating that γδ T cells mediated responses to HLA-class-I-negative MMR-d tumors during treatment with ICB.
