Activatable Near-Infrared Probes for the Detection of Specific Populations of Tumor-Infiltrating Leukocytes In Vivo and in Urine

The fluorescence of the probes was activated only in the presence of both tumor and leukocyte biomarkers, which allowed for the imaging of populations of specific tumor-infiltrating leukocytes in mouse models of cancers, with sensitivities and specificities similar to those achieved via flow-cytometric analyses of biopsied tumor tissues.
