Deciphering Avian Hematopoietic Stem Cells by Surface Marker Screening and Gene Expression Profiling

Investigators adapted methods from mouse studies to isolate avian HSCs as lineage-negative cells. These isolated cells were further identified as Lin-Sca1+c-Kit+ and were found to be more prevalent than in control groups.
