Scientists observed conspicuously elevated levels of methyltransferase-like 1 (METTL1) in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) tumors and cell lines. Inhibiting METTL1 led to reduced survival, migration, invasion, and xenograft tumor growth in cSCC cells.
