Fibroblasts of control and symptomatic medium chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency patients with the c.985A>G were reprogrammed into iPSCs. iPSCs were then differentiated into hepatic expandable organoids (EHOs), further matured to Mat-EHOs, and functionally characterized.
