Unveiling the Protective Role of ESM1 in Endothelial Cell Proliferation and Lipid Reprogramming

A mouse model of atherosclerosis was used to observe the effect of palmitic acid on the endothelial cell-specific molecule 1 (ESM1)-angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4)-autophagy signaling axis. Scientists reported that ESM1 facilitates endothelial cell proliferation and lipids homeostasis by up-regulating autophagy through ANGPTL4.
