UBE2T Promotes Radiation Resistance in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer via Inducing Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition and the Ubiquitination-Mediated FOXO1 Degradation

Using bioinformatic analyses, researchers found that UBE2T was associated with survival, tumor size, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis. They used colony formation, EdU incorporation, scratch, transwell assays, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and western blot to assess the role of UBE2T in vitro and in vivo.

AAV8 Ins1-Cre can Produce Efficient β-Cell Recombination but Requires Consideration of Off-Target Effects

Intraperitoneal AAV8 Ins1-Cre produced efficient β-cell recombination, alongside some hepatic, exocrine pancreas, α-cell, δ-cell, and hypothalamic recombination. Delivery of lower doses via the pancreatic duct retained good rates of β-cell recombination and limited rates of off-target recombination.

miR-410 Induces Both Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition and Radioresistance through Activation of the PI3K/mTOR Pathway in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Scientists demonstrated that PTEN was a direct target of miR-410 by using bioinformatic tools and dual-luciferase reporter assays, and the miR-410-induced epithelial–mesenchymal transition and radioresistance were reversed by PI3K, Akt, and mTOR inhibitors or by restoring the expression of PTEN in non-small cell lung cancer cells.
