Human B Cells and Dendritic Cells Are Susceptible and Permissive to Enterovirus D68 Infection
[mSphere] Researchers investigated the susceptibility and permissiveness of human primary immune cells for different Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) isolates. In human peripheral blood mononuclear cells inoculated with EV-D68, only B cells were susceptible but virus replication was limited.

Hepatic Zbtb18 (Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 18) Alleviates Hepatic Steatohepatitis via FXR (Farnesoid X Receptor)
[Signal Transduction And Targeted Therapy] Investigators unraveled that the expression of the transcription factor Zbtb18 is markedly decreased in the livers of both patients and murine models of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).

Inhibition of ADAM9 Promotes the Selective Degradation of KRAS and Sensitizes Pancreatic Cancers to Chemotherapy
[Nature Cancer] Scientists identified a disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain (ADAM) 9 as a modulator of PDAC progression via stabilization of wild-type and mutant KRAS proteins.

Hedgehog Signaling Is Involved in Acquired Resistance to KRASG12C Inhibitors in Lung Cancer Cells
[Cell Death & Disease] KRASG12C inhibitors induced the formation of primary cilia and activated the Hedgehog-GLI-1 pathway.

Transbronchial Cryoablation in Peripheral Lung Parenchyma with a Novel Thin Cryoprobe and Initial Clinical Testing
[Thorax] Nine patients with stage IA peripheral lung cancer or metastases underwent transbronchial cryoablation with this cryoprobe under the guidance of navigation bronchoscopy and cone-beam CT.

EGFR-Driven Lung Adenocarcinomas Coopt Alveolar Macrophage Metabolism and Function to Support EGFR Signaling and Growth
[Cancer Discovery] Elevated surfactant and GM-CSF secretion from the transformed epithelium induced tumor-associated alveolar macrophagem proliferation which supported tumor growth by rewiring inflammatory functions and lipid metabolism.
