Tripartite Motif Containing 26 Prevents Steatohepatitis Progression by Suppressing C/EBPδ Signaling Activation
[Nature Communications] Scientists showed tripartite motif containing 26 (TRIM26) as a critical endogenous suppressor of CCAAT/enhancer binding protein delta (C/EBPδ), and confirmed that TRIM26 was an C/EBPδ-interacting partner protein that catalyzed the ubiquitination degradation of C/EBPδ in hepatocytes.

LINC01343 Targets miR-526b-5p to Facilitate the Development of Hepatocellular Carcinoma by Upregulating ROBO1
[Scientific Reports] qRT-PCR and western blotting were performed to assess miR-526b-5p, LINC01343, and ROBO1 levels in HCC cell lines and tissue samples.

URI Alleviates Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors-Induced Ferroptosis by Reprogramming Lipid Metabolism in p53 Wild-Type Liver Cancers
[Nature Communications] Researchers uncovered that lipid metabolism reprogramming mediated by unconventional prefoldin RPB5 interactor (URI) endowed HCC with resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitor-induced ferroptosis.

USP39 Promotes Hepatocellular Carcinogenesis through Regulating Alternative Splicing in Cooperation with SRSF6/HNRNPC
[Cell Death & Disease] Investigators observed that hepatocyte-specific overexpression of ubiquitin-specific protease 39 (USP39) promoted hepatocarcinogenesis and potently regulated splice site selection in transgenic mice. In human liver cancer cells, USP39 promoted tumor proliferation in a spliceosome-dependent manner.

LncRNA PVT1 Induces Apoptosis and Inflammatory Response of Bronchial Epithelial Cells by Regulating miR-30b-5p/BCL2L11 Axis in COPD
[Genes And Environment] Plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (PVT1) enhanced apoptosis and inflammation of 16HBE cells under cigarette smoke extract stimulation by modulating miR-30b-5p/BCL2L11 axis.

Paroxetine Protects Against Bleomycin-Induced Pulmonary Fibrosis by Blocking GRK2/Smad3 Pathway
[Aging] Scientists investigated the effects of paroxetine on pulmonary fibrosis in C57/BL6 caused by bleomycin as well as on the activation of murine primary lung fibroblasts stimulated with TGF-β1.
