Kaempferol-Loaded Bioactive Glass-Based Scaffold for Bone Tissue Engineering: In Vitro and In Vivo Evaluation
[Scientific Reports] In vitro assessments were done to evaluate the osteogenic capacity and biological features of the scaffolds. In the in vivo section, all types of scaffolds with/without bone marrow-derived stem cells were implanted into rat calvaria bone defects, and potential of bone healing was assessed using imaging, staining, and histomorphometric analyses.

The Role of Mesenchymal Estrogen Receptor 1 in Mouse Uterus in Response to Estrogen
[Scientific Reports] Investigators analyzed mice with a mesenchymal tissue-specific knockout of Esr1. Isl1-driven Cre expression generated Esr1 deletion in the uterine stroma and endometrium.

Cancer Cell-Mitochondria Hybrid Membrane Coated Gboxin Loaded Nanomedicines for Glioblastoma Treatment
[Nature Communications] The authors presented a biomimetic nanomedicine by coating cancer cell-mitochondria hybrid membrane on the surface of Gboxin-loaded nanoparticles. An additional design element uses a reactive oxygen species responsive polymer to facilitate at-site Gboxin release.

TRIM71 Reactivation Enhances the Mitotic and Hair Cell–Forming Potential of Cochlear Supporting Cells
[EMBO Reports] Employing an organoid-based assay, the authors showed that TRIM71 re-expression increased the mitotic and hair cell–forming potential of P5 cochlear supporting cells by facilitating their de-differentiation into progenitor-like cells.

IL-22-Induced Ubiquitin-Specific Protease 15 Promotes Proliferation and Inflammation of Keratinocytes via Stabilization of SCCA2
[Journal Of Investigative Dermatology] Knocking down ubiquitin-specific protease 15 resulted in reduced keratinocyte inflammation, and impaired keratinocyte viability and clonogenicity.

The CD73 Is Induced by TGF-β1 Triggered by Nutrient Deprivation and Highly Expressed in Dedifferentiated Human Melanoma
[Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy] Results indicated that serum starvation led to a marked up-regulation of CD73 expression on A375 melanoma cells in a time-dependent manner.
