Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition and Cancer Stem Cells: A Route to Acquired Cisplatin Resistance through Epigenetics in HNSCC

The authors suggested that in the route to cisplatin chemoresistance, epigenetic modifications could be associated with epithelial-mesenchymal transition activation and cancer stem cell accumulation which originated more aggressive tumors.
