Scientists demonstrated that AF10 fusion proteins caused aberrant self-renewal via ENL, which bound to MOZ/MORF lysine acetyltransferases. The interaction of ENL with MOZ, via its YEATS domain, was critical for CALM-AF10-mediated leukemic transformation.
