Targeting Nuclear LSD1 to Reprogram Cancer Cells and Reinvigorate Exhausted T Cells via a Novel LSD1-EOMES Switch

20the%20key%20T%20cell%20exhaustion%20transcription%20factor%20EOMES%20in%20dysfunctional%20CD8%2B%20T%20cells.%20EOMES%20co-exists%20with%20nLSD1p%20in%20PD-1%2BCD8%2B%20T%20cells%20in%20resistant%20patients%2C%20and%20nLSD1p%20regulates%20EOMES%20nuclear%20dynamics%20via%20demethylation%5C%2Facetylation%20switching%20of%20critical%20EOMES%20residues.%20Using%20novel%20antibodies%20to%20target%20these%20post-translational%20modifications%2C%20we%20show%20that%20EOMES%20demethylation%5C%2Facetylation%20is%20reciprocally%20expressed%20in%20resistant%20and%20responder%20patients.%20Overall%2C%20we%20show%20for%20the%20first%20time%20that%20dual%20inhibition%20of%20metastatic%20cancer%20cells%20and%20re-invigoration%20of%20the%20immune%20system%20requires%20LSD1%20inhibitors%20that%20target%20the%20nLSD1p%20axis.%22%2C%22date%22%3A%222020%22%2C%22language%22%3A%22English%22%2C%22DOI%22%3A%2210.3389%5C%2Ffimmu.2020.01228%22%2C%22ISSN%22%3A%221664-3224%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%5C%2F%5C%2Fwww.frontiersin.org%5C%2Farticles%5C%2F10.3389%5C%2Ffimmu.2020.01228%5C%2Ffull%22%2C%22collections%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22dateModified%22%3A%222020-06-16T17%3A08%3A27Z%22%7D%7D%5D%7D
