arrying%20a%20germline%20mutation%20in%20the%20sonic%20hedgehog%20%28SHH%29%20receptor%20PTCH1.%20We%20found%20that%20Gorlin%20NES%20cells%20formed%20tumors%20in%20mouse%20cerebellum%20mimicking%20human%20medulloblastoma.%20Retransplantation%20of%20tumor-isolated%20NES%20%28tNES%29%20cells%20resulted%20in%20accelerated%20tumor%20formation%2C%20cells%20with%20reduced%20growth%20factor%20dependency%2C%20enhanced%20neurosphere%20formation%20in%20vitro%2C%20and%20increased%20sensitivity%20to%20Vismodegib.%20Using%20our%20model%2C%20we%20identified%20LGALS1%20to%20be%20a%20GLI%20target%20gene%20that%20is%20up-regulated%20in%20both%20Gorlin%20tNES%20cells%20and%20SHH-subgroup%20of%20medulloblastoma%20patients.%20Taken%20together%2C%20we%20demonstrate%20that%20NES%20cells%20derived%20from%20Gorlin%20patients%20can%20be%20used%20as%20a%20resource%20to%20model%20medulloblastoma%20initiation%20and%20progression%20and%20to%20identify%20putative%20targets.%22%2C%22date%22%3A%222020%5C%2F07%5C%2F31%22%2C%22language%22%3A%22en%22%2C%22DOI%22%3A%2210.1073%5C%2Fpnas.1920521117%22%2C%22ISSN%22%3A%220027-8424%2C%201091-6490%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%5C%2F%5C%2Fwww.pnas.org%5C%2Fcontent%5C%2Fearly%5C%2F2020%5C%2F07%5C%2F30%5C%2F1920521117%22%2C%22collections%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22dateModified%22%3A%222020-08-04T16%3A28%3A54Z%22%7D%7D%5D%7D
