Scientists explored the toxic effects and mechanisms of trichloroethylene (TCE) on hESC proliferation. TCE exposure resulted in upregulation of Cx43 via Akt phosphorylation, consequently stimulated CDK2 expression, contributing to hyper-proliferation in hESCs.
