Investigators analyzed the level of CD33 expression in patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia and determined its correlation with clinical characteristics. Of the 86 patients, CD33-high was closely related to the patients with normal karyotype, high white blood cell count, and a high ratio of primitive cells.
