Researchers showed that the absence of PLA2G2D or the PGD2 receptor, PTGDR, restricts primary tumor growth and lung metastasis of subcutaneously implanted melanoma, as demonstrated using middle-aged Pla2g2d−/− and Ptgdr−/− mice.
