Mapping DNA Interaction Landscapes in Psoriasis Susceptibility Loci Highlights KLF4 as a Target Gene in 9q31

Researchers used a disease-focused Capture Hi-C experiment to link psoriasis-associated variants with their target genes in psoriasis-relevant cell lines. Anti-Human Serum Albumin Autoantibody May Be Involved in the Pathogenesis of Autoimmune Bullous Skin Diseases

The authors found that IgG and IgA autoantibodies to human serum albumin (HSA) may have diagnosis values for autoimmune bullous skin diseases (AIBD). DNA damage-related signaling proteins might be involved in the pathogenic role of anti-HSA autoantibodies in AIBD. [FASEB J] Full Article

Mitochondria-Mediated Caspase-Dependent and Caspase-Independent Apoptosis Induced by Aqueous Extract from Moringa Oleifera Leaves in Human Melanoma Cells

Scientists investigated the anti-proliferation mediated by apoptosis of Moringa Oleifera leaves (MOE) on human melanoma cell lines. MOE inhibited cell growth of A375 cells and A2058 cells in a dose-dependent manner but had little effect on human normal fibroblasts. [Mol Biol Rep] Abstract

Type-1 Cytokines Regulate Matrix Metalloprotease-9 Production and E-Cadherin Disruption to Promote Melanocyte Loss in Vitiligo
