Hepatocyte Growth Factor Gene-Modified Mesenchymal Stem Cells Augment Sinonasal Wound Healing
Scientists investigated the effects of hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) transgenic mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on wound healing in the sinonasal mucosa and nasal epithelial cells. Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cell Exosomes Enhance Angiogenesis through the Wnt4/β-Catenin Pathway
The authors isolated and characterized the exosomes from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hucMSC-Ex) and demonstrated that hucMSC-Ex promoted the proliferation, migration, and tube formation of endothelial cells in a dose-dependent manner. Multi-Lineage Differentiation of Human Umbilical Cord Wharton’s Jelly Mesenchymal Stromal Cells Mediates Changes in the Expression Profile of Stemness Markers
Wharton’s Jelly-derived mesenchymal stem cells (WJ-MSCs) were isolated and characterized for stemness and surface markers expression. Flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and qRT-PCR analysis revealed predominant expression of CD29, CD44, CD73, CD90, CD105 and CD166 in WJ-MSCs, while the hematopoietic and endothelial markers were absent. Researchers retrospectively evaluated patients who underwent a first related hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from an HLA high-resolution matched, high-resolution one locus-mismatched, or low-resolution one locus-mismatched related donor in the graft-versus-host direction at three loci using the database of the Japan Society for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation.
