Tumor Cell-Derived Complement Components C1r and C1s Promote Growth of Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Significantly elevated C1R and C1S mRNA levels and production of C1r and C1s were detected in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) cells, compared to normal human epidermal keratinocytes. The mRNA levels of C1R and C1S were markedly elevated in cSCC tumors in vivo compared to normal skin. [Br J Dermatol] Abstract

Flavonoid Morin Inhibits Proliferation and Induces Apoptosis of Melanoma Cells by Regulating Reactive Oxygen Species, Sp1 and Mcl-1

Morin induced reactive oxygen species production and apoptosis, as presented by increased proportion of cells with Annexin V-PE(+) staining and sub-G₀/G₁ peak in cell cycle analysis.
