Polydeoxyribonucleotide Activates Mitochondrial Biogenesis but Reduces MMP-1 Activity and Melanin Biosynthesis in Cultured Skin Cells

The authors examined the biological effects of polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) on mitochondrial biogenesis, melanogenesis, and connective tissue proteins in vitro. In a radical scavenging assay, PDRN showed antioxidant activities in a dose-dependent manner, and those activities could suppress cellular oxidative stress in skin cells. miR-199a-5p Represses the Stemness of Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma Stem Cells by Targeting Sirt1 and CD44ICD Cleavage Signaling

Overexpression of miR-199a-5p reduced the stemness of cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas and inhibited cell proliferation.
