p53 Suppresses Lipid Droplet-Fueled Tumorigenesis through Phosphatidylcholine

Scientists found that the tumor suppressor p53 drove the Kennedy pathway via PCYT1B to control the growth of lipid droplets (LDs) and their fueling role in tumorigenesis. p53 channeled depleted choline stores to phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis during choline starvation, thus preventing LD coalescence.

Senescence of Hepatic Stellate Cells by Specific Delivery of Manganese for Limiting Liver Fibrosis

Investigators proposed an antifibrotic strategy that combined prosenescence with enhanced immune clearance through targeted delivery of manganese via albumin-mediated transcytosis, specifically aimed at inducing senescence and eliminating activated hepatic stellate cells in liver fibrosis.
