Multi-Omic Analyses of Changes in the Tumor Microenvironment of Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Following Neoadjuvant Treatment with Anti-PD-1 Therapy

Investigators showed that granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor-secreting allogeneic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma vaccine (GVAX)-induced tertiary lymphoid aggregates became immune-regulatory sites in response to GVAX + nivolumab.

Autoantibody-Mediated Macrophage Dysfunction in Severe Asthma Patients with Airway Infections

Anti-eosinophil peroxidase, anti-macrophage receptor with collagenous structure immunoglobulin G titers, and type 1/2 cytokines were measured in 221 sputa from 143 well-characterized patients with severe asthma.

BRCA Mutational Status Shapes the Stromal Microenvironment of Pancreatic Cancer Linking Clusterin Expression in Cancer Associated Fibroblasts with HSF1 Signaling

Scientists dissected the stromal landscape of BRCA-mutated and BRCA Wild-type pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

Platelet-Derived TLT-1 Promotes Tumor Progression by Suppressing CD8+ T Cells

The increased platelet TREM-like transcript 1 (TLT-1) was evident in humanized mice with patient-derived tumors. In immunocompetent mice with syngeneic tumors, TLT-1 binding to T cells, in vivo, led to suppression of CD8 T cells, promoting tumor growth.

Cetuximab Responses in HNSCC Patients Correlate to Clonal Expansion Feature of Peripheral and Tumor-Infiltrating T Cells with Top T Cell Receptor (TCR) Clonotypes

Investigators analyzed high-throughput T cell receptor b sequencing data generated with ImmunoSEQ platform using peripheral blood and tumor infiltrating lymphocytes fromhead and neck squamous cell carcinoma patients before and after cetuximab treatment.

    Abstract

Up-Regulation of BTN3A1 on CD14+ Cells Promotes Vγ9Vδ2 T Cell Activation in Psoriasis

The authors showed that circulating Vγ9Vδ2 T cells were decreased and exhibited enhanced proliferation and increased production of IFN-γ and TNF-α in psoriasis vulgaris patients.

Mapping Secretome-Mediated Interaction between Paired Neuron–Macrophage Single Cells

Researchers realized the mapping of 12 different secretomes, covering cytokines, neurotrophic factors, and neuron-derived exosomes from high-throughput, paired single cells (≥ 600) simultaneously under normal conditions and an Alzheimer’s disease model induced with amyloid beta protein 1-42.

Neutrophil Degranulation and Severely Impaired Extracellular Trap Formation at the Basis of Susceptibility to Infections of Hemodialysis Patients

Protein levels and transcriptome of HD patients’ neutrophils indicated massive neutrophil degranulation with a dramatic reduction in reactive oxygen species production during an oxidative burst and defective oxidative cellular signaling.

SIRPα Antibody Combined with Oncolytic Virus OH2 Protects against Tumours by Activating Innate Immunity and Reprogramming the Tumour Immune Microenvironment

Scientists verified the polarization and activation of OH2 in RAW264.7 cells in vitro. Subsequently, they evaluated the antitumour ability of OH2 and anti-SIRPα combined therapy in a tumour-bearing mouse model.

A Cross-Sectional Study Evidences Regulations of Leukocytes in the Colostrum of Mothers with Obesity

Researchers collected peripheral blood and colostrum paired samples from obese and lean mothers within 48 hour post-partum and applied a panel of six antibodies plus a viability marker to characterize 10 major leukocyte subpopulations using flow cytometry.
