    Scientists found that myocyte enhancer factor 2 d (Mef2d) regulated Sh2d1a expression via DNA binding–dependent transcriptional repression, inhibiting SAP-dependent B:T synapse formation, and preventing antigen-specific CD4 T cells from differentiating into germinal center–T follicular helper (GC-TFH) cells.

    As in patients with immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy (IgAN) , IgA+ plasmablasts accumulated in the kidneys of a murine model. IgA antibodies cloned from the plasmablasts carried substantial V-region mutations and bound to βII-spectrin and the surface of mesangial cells.
