    TOP STORY

A TLR7-Nanoparticle Adjuvant Promotes a Broad Immune Response against Heterologous Strains of Influenza and SARS-CoV-2

Researchers described a polymeric Toll-like receptor 7 agonist nanoparticle (TLR7-NP) adjuvant, which enhanced lymph node targeting, and led to persistent activation of immune cells and broad immune responses. They tested responses to this TLR7-NP using human tonsil organoids, and other methods.

Combining Ferroptosis Induction with MDSC Blockade Renders Primary Tumors and Metastases in Liver Sensitive to Immune Checkpoint Blockade

Glutathione peroxidase 4 was genetically altered in murine models for hepatocellular carcinoma and colorectal cancer (CRC) to analyze the effect of ferroptosis on tumor cells and the immune tumor microenvironment. Subcutaneously grown CRC organoids were utlilized, in addition to other methods.

Single-Cell Landscape Highlights Heterogenous Microenvironment, Novel Immune Reaction Patterns, Potential Biomarkers and Unique Therapeutic Strategies of Cervical Squamous Carcinoma, Human Papillomavirus-Associated (HPVA) and Non-HPVA Adenocarcinoma

Using single-cell RNA and T cell receptor sequencing, researchers investigated the transcriptomic atlas of several types of cancer that were typically treated identically to squamous cell carcinoma. The promalignant properties of the structural cells were studied using organoids.
