PUBLICATIONS(Ranked by impact factor of the journal)Metformin was capable of inhibiting the following processes: inflammatory infiltration after ADT induced by surgically castration in mice, bicalutamide treatment in patients and hormone deprivation in LNCaP cells. Mechanistically, metformin repressed inflammatory infiltration by downregulating both COX2 and PGE2 in tumor cells. [Clin Cancer Res] Abstract Investigators showed that the interferon λ4 germline variant (IFNL4-ΔG) allele was significantly associated with “interferon-related DNA damage resistance signature” (IRDS) in prostate tumors and overall survival of African-American patients. IFNL4 overexpression induced IRDS in three human prostate cancer cell lines. [Prostate] Abstract Exendin-4 Enhances Radiation Response of Prostate Cancer Researchers found that GLP‐1 receptor was expressed in human prostate cancer (PC) tissues and cell lines. One‐100 nM exendin‐4 promoted the anti‐proliferation effects of ionizing radiation in vitro and in vivo, and enhanced radiation‐induced G2/M cycle arrest in PC cells in a dose‐dependent manner. Ex‐4 increased AMPK phosphorylation, decrease the levels of p‐mTOR, cyclin B, and p34cdc2.
