Activation of the Transcription Factor NRF2 Mediates the Anti-Inflammatory Properties of a Subset of Over-the-Counter and Prescription NSAIDs

Using genetic and pharmacologic approaches, the authors found that nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)-mediated GDF15 induction was dependent on the activation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2) in myeloid cells.
