Chemotherapy Treatment Induces Pro-Invasive Changes in Liver ECM Composition

The authors found that the ECM of livers isolated from chemotherapy-treated MMTV-PyMT mice increased the invasion, but not proliferation, of metastatic breast cancer cells. Proteomic analysis of the liver ECM identified Collagen V to be more abundant in paclitaxel-treated livers.
