Cardiolipin Released by Microglia Can Act on Neighboring Glial Cells to Facilitate the Uptake of Amyloid-β (1– 42)

Scientists demonstrated a feed-forward mechanism wherein Aβ42 could induce the release of cardiolipin from microglia, which in turn facilitated the endocytosis of Aβ42 by astrocytes and microglia.
