ERα-Associated Translocations Underlie Oncogene Amplifications in Breast Cancer

The authors showed that focal amplifications in breast cancer frequently derived from a mechanism, which they termed translocation–bridge amplification, involving inter-chromosomal translocations that lead to dicentric chromosome bridge formation and breakage.
