Scientists developed an enzyme responsive precursor based on the neuropeptide Y1 receptor ligand, which self-assembled into nanoscale assemblies in the lysosomes and subsequently had an appreciable destructive effect on the mitochondria and cytoskeleton, resulting in breast cancer cell apoptosis.
