Based on the proteomic profiles of HCC in the patient cohort, scientists found that Lysozyme (LYZ) had opposite expression patterns between tumor and paracancerous tissues in patients of different subtypes of HCC and that high LYZ abundance in HCC tissues predicted poor prognosis in patients.
