Resistin Stimulates PC-3 Prostate Cancer Cell Growth through Stimulation of SOCS3 and SOCS5 Genes

Using PC-3 human prostate cancer cells, investigators found that resistin upregulated the expression of suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) and SOCS5 mRNA, but not SOCS7 mRNA, in a dose- and time-dependent manner.
