Researchers demonstrated that increased activity of the Src-JNK pathway in tumors inactivated Notch signaling because of JNK pathway–mediated inhibition of the expression of the gene encoding the Notch S2 cleavage protease, Kuzbanian, which is critical for Notch activity.
